I'm Pete an amateur birding enthusiast and took up Birding and Photography as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown during April 2020 in Cyprus where I am resident. I guess I have been inspired to a great degree by the works of Phil (Badger) and Shirley Parker, other expat residents and the photo collections they have made.

In April 2020 I started with my first camera Nikon P1000.
In December 2021 I upgraded my equipment to a Canon EOS 90D coupled up with the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM contemporary model lens.
In September 2022 I upgraded to a Canon R5 coupled up with the same Sigma lens as I used on the 90D.
In November 2022 I said goodbye to the Sigma Lens and coupled up the R5 with the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM.
There is a chance that not everything will be correctly identified as bird ID can obviously be difficult, if you see a mistake please use the contact button to send me a correction.
This is not an all singing and dancing website, it is very much for my own enjoyment and for family and friends who like to see what I get up to!
